As previously mentioned, a really exciting opportunity for Oak Class children has arisen, as they have been invited to sing at Hay Festival as part of a primary school choir event on Thursday 24th May.
The children are currently rehearsing the 4 songs and there will be one further visit (Monday 14th May) from Fiona Evans before the day.
On the day (May 24th), the children will give a short performance at lunchtime in the central garden 12.10-12.30pm on the Hay Festival Site. The children will be there anyway as part of the School’s Day (a separate email will be sent about this).
In the evening of May 24th, we would ask you to bring pupils to Hay Festival, Oxfam Moot for rehearsal at 5.30pm, in preparation for the main performance at 6.30pm.
Whilst this is a ticketed event, there will be TWO free tickets for every child involved and siblings are invited to attend free of charge. If you require further tickets, please book these separately through the Hay Festival website https://www.hayfestival.com/p-13605-schools-choir-event.aspx
As this is a public event, like any public event, you automatically give permission for photos and videos to be taken by being on the site. However, attached is an additional consent form the festival have requested so photos or films can be taken during the rehearsals at school.
Please could you complete the consent form and reply to this email with the following information;
– Give consent to your child attending the lunchtime and evening event.
– Send in the completed photo consent form for pictures to be taken during the rehearsal at school
– Number of tickets (max two adult) requested and how many siblings will be attending
