Well what a day we have had! A lovely drive down to Big Pit and a tour of the coal mine almost 100m underground then on to the YHA in Cardiff, though it actually feels more like a luxury hotel than a youth hostel. After that, karting! It was fantastic fun and we definitely have some budding Lewis Hamiltons amongst our children. We ended the day with a lovely walk through Cardiff to Nando’s and a feast to end all feasts. Everyone ate very well indeed, some more than others Mr Sam Burgess! As I write this, having just watched a really interesting documentary on Napoleon, (I know how to let my hair down) the rooms are all quiet and everyone, hopefully is asleep. I will add more photos tomorrow.
Wow! What a day! Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe tour and workshop, lunch by the Thames, British Museum, pizza and then the most amazing, fantastically incredible time watching Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre. Busy but tremendous fun and the children, and adults have been incredible.
