Another visitor to the school this week was Jade Beresford, an archaeologist who has been working on the amazing excavations at Dorstone Hill. The world famous ‘Halls of the Dead’ discovered at the site have been one of the greatest discoveries in UK archaeology in recent times. Jade talked passionately about the discoveries and brought along a collection of artifacts for the children to get hands on with. The site is now closed for the winter but we will be visiting it as a whole school when the dig reopens in the summer.
Wow! What a day! Tate Modern, Shakespeare’s Globe tour and workshop, lunch by the Thames, British Museum, pizza and then the most amazing, fantastically incredible time watching Matilda the Musical at the Cambridge Theatre. Busy but tremendous fun and the children, and adults have been incredible.
