Christmas really got going today when Mr Crocker and three children, one from each class, set off in to the (Christmas Tree) forest to choose and cut down the school Christmas tree. The plantation was at the top of a hill between the school and Hay and the children, whose names were drawn from a hat, had a great time hunting for the perfect tree. The rain just about held off for us and the sun even came out for a moment, making the most of the amazing views to the north into Powys.
We came away with a splendid 2.5 m tree for the school, kindly donated by a forestry company which manages some local woodland.
